Rare variants are increasingly linked to epilepsy. For databases examining rare variants and epilepsy, you can explore the Database Of Genetic Variation, or the SNP & CNV Annotation Database.

25 Jun 2010

We've upgraded the epiGAD engine to make it run and display tables faster.
Also, data from epiGAD has just been published in Epilepsia.

31 Jan 2009

We have upgraded epiGAD, and added severalnew features, thanks to suggestions from the ILAE oversight committee. The new features are:

a) new database on meta analysis, to address the small but increasing number of genetic association meta-analyses that are appearing in the literature

b) database on genome-wide association studies. No GWAS in epilepsy has been published yet, but we've added this section in anticipation of future studies

c) a fixed schedule for updating the database. The databases will be updated quarterly, in Jan, Apr, Jul and Oct.

d) the new studies entered into the database each quarter will be separately mentioned in a new section 'New Studies', so that visitors can check which studies have recently been published and included.
